Engineering solutions for real-world constraints.
These are a few problems I’ve worked on where the interesting part wasn’t simply writing the code—it was understanding the constraints, making the right trade-offs and getting the system to behave in the real world.

01
Delta Air Lines
Making a 22MB application work at 35,000 feet.
Delta's in-flight Wi-Fi portal was built for a very different environment from the average web application: high latency, limited bandwidth and unpredictable network conditions. The portal's initial frontend bundle had grown to roughly 22MB, with load times approaching 6 seconds. I redesigned how the application delivered and cached its content, reducing the initial bundle from 22MB to 5MB and cutting load time from roughly 6 seconds to 3 seconds.
22MB → 5MB | 6s → 3s | −18% bandwidth

Engineering Foundation
Turning a fragile Angular codebase into an engineering platform.
As the Wi-Fi portal grew, technical debt started slowing the team down. I led an Nx monorepo migration and Angular upgrade that introduced clearer boundaries, smarter CI/CD and stronger quality gates.
68% → 90% coverage | 580 → 0 lint errors | −38% regressions

03
Re-Guild
Building observability without rewriting the application.
I designed an AWS OpenSearch proof of concept that used the existing CloudWatch pipeline to create a unified observability layer—without requiring changes to the applications producing the logs.
